Door Inserts
Many of the drawers and doors can be inserted with a variety of materials. Some of the insert options include:
¨ Mullion Door
¨
¨ Prairie Door
¨ Insert Door (with glass in Diamonds pattern and brass caming; Prairie Glass; Reeded Glass; Clear Glass; Metallic Perforated inserts; metal inserts in Brushed Pewter, Brushed Bronze, Copper Stratos, or Ragged Copper finishes; Metal Grille; or an insert door with homeowner supplied fabric or glass)
§ Furniture Pegs – for an added rustic character to your door style.
A 5/16” square wooden peg is driven into a 3/8” diameter drill hole. The gaps between the peg and the hole are visible and are not filled.
§
Finger Routes
Finger routes are small indentations added to cabinetry door and drawer edges, eliminating the need for hardware pulls and handles.
§
Five Piece Header
Constructing a drawer front with the Five Piece Header option creates more detailing and more interest. This option is available with many door styles.
§ Accent Colors – English Ivy, Black, Royal Blue
Available on some Maple moulding and accent pieces.
§
Decorator Edge
When a door is created with a Decorator Edge, it will have additional profile levels, catching additional glaze “hang-up” and creating more detail.
§
Spattering
Spattering or “speckling” is a dark stain, hand applied randomly to the cabinetry. Spattering is included when glazing is requested over a stain. “No spattering” may be designated. To receive spattering on unglazed finishes, “spattering” must be designated and an upcharge will apply. Spattering is not available on tinted varnish finishes.
§
Regent Profile
The Regent Profile has three graduated steps ascending to the center of the drawer front, adding dimension and detailing for minimal cost. This option is available on many door styles.
§
Rigid Thermo Foil
Rigid Thermo Foil sheets are pressed, using computer controlled heat and pressure, over a one-piece high-quality MDF panel with a low pressure Thermofused Melamine back. This results in a beautifully uniform, easy care, scratch resistant surface. Available in White and Ivory Cream Newburg door style only.
§
Bevel Pulls
When hardware pulls and handles are not wanted, the top or bottom edges of drawers and cabinets in some styles may be beveled all along the edge to provide a spot for fingers to grab and pull open.
§
Low Sheen
Low Sheen is a less reflective finish available on all stains and finishes. One could compare Low Sheen to the “satin” or “flat” finish found in the paint industry. The Standard Sheen finish would be compared to the “semi-gloss” finish.
